Every month, we crown the sharpest Yahtzee players on the site in six sumo-inspired rank tiers - built from a blended Power Score that factors in your averages, high scores, and consistency. Here's how it works.

Who qualifies?

You need at least 50 games played within the tournament month itself to appear on the Banzuke at all. Games from a previous month don't carry over; each month's standings are built entirely from that month's own play.

Tournament Timing

The tournament begins at the stroke of midnight (Central European Time) on August 1. The Live Standings view updates continuously all month. At the end of the last day of the month, standings freeze for good and become the tournament's permanent, official record.

The Rank Tiers

• Yahtzeezuna - the grand champion tier. Requires a Power Score of 80 or higher. Some months, nobody clears the bar at all - that's by design.
• Diceki - the top 10% of everyone else who qualified.
• Shakeiwake - the next 15%.
• Combosubi - the next 20%.
• Maegashiroll - the remaining players, roughly 55% of the qualified field. This is where most active, consistent players land.
• Chance-Chancers - registered, recently-active players who haven't yet hit 50 games this month.

What is Power Score?

Power Score is a single blended number built from your average score, high score, Yahtzees per game, luck management, games played, and Daily Challenge performance - all weighted together, then adjusted by your completion rate. Players who frequently abandon games mid-way are penalized.
